Making Guacamole "The Real Way"

This post may contain affiliate links.

So according to my mother Rose, there is only one authentic guacamole recipe, hers, which she always referred to as the real one. Now my mother never shared how she became the official real guacamole recipe guardian, but as her oldest daughter with somewhat of a lifetime guacamole addiction, I never questioned her. I'm sure you have some of these recipe guardians in your families and understand how we must accept it as truth.

Our guacamole recipe was so sacred that my mother never allowed any of us to write it down. I started making guacamole with her when I was about 12 years old and we ate it all the time. We ate it with chips, we ate it with carne asada, and we ate in soups, on tacos, in burritos and so much more. Let’s just say our family has an obsession with guacamole.

Well thankfully, my mother assured me before she went to heaven that I was worthy of becoming our family’s real guacamole recipe guardian. But this recipe is too good not to share with all of you and I'm pretty sure; you guys can become masters too. I've done my best to break down our recipe and the ingredients are listed below with simple instructions. I've also made a video that shows you exactly how to make it. So please check out my video and post pictures of your guacamole to my Facebook page. I know you can make us proud! And sorry but I won’t be held responsible for any new guacamole addictions.
