Molé Mama is a San Diego-based author, home chef, vlogger, and podcaster. Diving into her Latina roots, she uses her magical molcajete, and other tools and techniques that make her food taste like grandma used to make back in Mexico.

Her book, Molé Mama; A Memoir of Love, Cooking, and Loss, shares the stories of how she perfected her beloved mother's recipes. Readers swear that they smell Sonora enchiladas, Spanish rice, mole, and other delicious Mexican food simmering in their kitchens as they read her book.

Molé Mama Recipes YouTube cooking videos and weekly podcast celebrates family recipes, cooking delicious meals at home, and adding love to every recipe. Along with her guest chefs, Molé Mama explores recipes and traditions from around the world and the stories that keep them alive. Most of her podcasts will make you hungry, and you may find yourself dancing in your kitchen to salsa music.

Molé Mama is calling everyone to return to their kitchens and to preserve their living and past ancestors' favorite recipes and stories for future generations.

"We need to try to preserve our cultures and not just let those favorite recipes disappear forever. The common thread of every cherished family recipe is that they were homemade with love, and that's the real secret ingredient," says Molé Mama. For many home chefs, cooking is their preferred love language, and that's why we cherish their recipes. Their love has the power to transcend an ordinary recipe into magic!

I'm a Mexican & Portuguese San Diego-based author, home cook, and podcaster celebrating culinary magic!
I believe anyone can learn to cook delicious Mexican food, and all are welcome here! My mother taught me how to cook, and I hope to inspire you to try some of our recipes and experience the joy of delicious tacos, enchiladas, tamales, abondigas, soups, Santa Maria-style BBQ, and so much more!
One of my dreams came true recently, and I competed on Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games Flavortown Academy, where I shared my Mexican cooking expertise and had a blast!
I grew up on a California Dairy Farm, and I've always loved to COOK and EAT! I prefer cooking with real ingredients, no low-fat, over-processed foods in my recipes!

Molé Mama's culinary training began when she was nine years old on the day her mama asked her to help make flour tortillas. Her mama expertly poured water, flour, salt, and a little baking powder in the bowl, and her daughter's heart raced with excitement as she eagerly put her small hands in the bowl and tried to follow her mama's patient instructions on how to mix it. She loved the way the sticky dough felt on her little fingers. She was so very proud and excited to help my mama make her legendary fluffy, soft, flavorful tortillas.
Her master chef and beautiful mama taught Molé Mama to make over a 100 of her Mexican family recipes over several decades of cooking together! Molé Mama loves sharing her treasured family recipes with you and hopes that they will bring you joy and become family favorites.

Although I came in 2nd place after five episodes, the opportunity to share my family's culinary legacy, cooking with Chef Antonia, and fully recovering from two heart surgeries just a few months before the competition makes me feel like a WINNER!
